Application examples for mdexx reactors
Whether in the electrical industry, mechanical engineering or in the process industry, on fans, conveyors or hoists – chokes and filters are just the thing in all industries and in all applications in which frequency inverters are used. They reduce mains harmonics as well as the effects of the converter feed on the motor. They protect and preserve the inverter and thus ensure the trouble-free operation of machines and plants.
Three-phase line reactors for frequency converters are used in line-side infeeds. They are connected such that alternating currents with line frequency flow through the reactors as the fundamental wave frequency. The reactor limits system perturbations that occur in the form of harmonics. Furthermore do they reduce the alternating current by means of the frequencies caused by the switching of the input rectifier in the DC link capacitors.
Two reactor series are available:
1) Reactors with a reference voltage drop uD of ~ 2 % for operation with converters without power recovery.
2) Reactors with a reference voltage drop uD of ~ 4 % for operation with converters combined with autotransformers with power recovery and for application in networks with a uK mains of < 1 %.
