Wiring method of EC fans(with communication and enabling functions)

source:EC Fans    Time:2024-11-29    view:1522

Hello, welcome to Sherry’s Fun Fan Classroom.Today we are going to learn the wiring method of EC fan with communication function and enable function.

Take one of the products in the K3G310 series as an example:

The ground wire is connected to PE, and the L1, L2, and L3 ports are connected to three AC power supplies.

The analog 0-10V or PWM control signal is connected between the Ain1U port and the GND port to control the fan speed.

According to the communication protocol, the fan can be set to sensor mode. When controlled by communication, Ain1U and Ain2U can be used as feedback sources for the sensor. The corresponding EC control settings are as follows:

When using analog input control, the Ain1U port can be used as the control source, and the Ain2U port can be used as the sensor feedback source. The corresponding EC control settings are as follows:

The control source can also be configured as current input signal, Ain1I port or Ain2I port.

If the Din1 port is not wired, the fan is enabled to operate normally; if the Din1 port and the GND port are short-circuited, the fan is disabled and stops running.

The analog quantity 0-10V can be output between the Aout port and the GND port to feedback the fan speed.

The RSA and RSB ports are connected to EC control software or third-party communication software for modifying parameters, controlling or monitoring fan operation.

After power on, the positive 10V port outputs 10V DC, which can be connected to the Ain1U port with a potentiometer to achieve stepless speed regulation of the fan (10V voltage measurement).

The com port, NC port and no port are relay outputs, used to feedback fan faults, where com is the public port.NC is a normally closed contact, no is a normally open contact.

Take the abnormal power supply as an example. When the power supply is abnormal, the com NC is disconnected.

When the power supply is normal, com NC is closed. NO normally open contact is opposite to NC.When the fan is powered on, the Din1 port is not connected, and the Ain1U port can control the fan speed. The DIN1 port is shorted to the GND port and the fan stops.
